Lindsay is a seamstress and fiber artist based out of Winona, MN. As a young girl, she was taught to sew and craft by her mother and grandmother, instilling a love of handcraft at an early age. Her grandmother is the namesake for her farmstead, “Salome Acres,” where she raises sheep and horses, tends a large garden, and houses her small studio space. She is a proud dabbler in the world of crafts and trades, but a master of few - with a love of always learning. She teaches quilting and sewing classes around SE Minnesota and hopes to continue sharing her passion of craft with others.

Field Work in a look into daily practice and discovery - the art of living and the benefit of ‘for the sake of its’.

My creative practice is tightly woven with my daily chores. They share a similar make up, a seeking of beauty and a ritual. When all else feels impossible, the animals still need to be fed and loved.

Ritual. Practice. Chores.

A science gal at heart, I’m on a continued search for connections, data, and meaning. Field Work is my creative take.

The foundation of my art practice remains unchanged. I still seek to make things of a timeless nature, hold ties to those who taught me how to make, and combine function with beauty.
